About Me I live in Omaha with my husband and two children. I work full time, am in the process of earning my MBA and am a Cub Scout leader for my son's den. Needless to say, I'm busy. That's one of the reason's I love Ren Faires. It allows me to escape to another world.

Music I like almost everything except for Country and Rap. What I listen to really depends on my mood.

Movies I love movies! I'll watch just about anything.

TV My TV watching has declined over the years but not by choice. I always make sure I watch Lost and House. I am an American Idol geek. In the summer I watch Big Love and Rescue Me.

Books I wish I could read more but when I do have a book in my hand it's usually for school or work. For my reading pleasure I love a good murder mystery.

Likes I love my family and friends. They mean everything to me. I do like my job as it's very rewarding. I LOVE football. I'm a big Husker and Chiefs fans.

Dislikes Stupid people...'nuff said.

Hobbies No time for real hobbies. Some day I hope to incorperate some into my life.

I can't believe it's been two months since I've posted. How the time flies!!

Faire season is officially over. We did make it down to KCRF in October. A good time was had by all. It was great to see Goodgirl again!

I took a short break from sewing and have started back up on my latest projects. I have begun to make a venitian. I feel I am in unchartered territory! I found some beautiful fabric during my trip to KC. I'm slowing working on it while I do other projects. I'm hoping to have it completed by next season. It'll be interesting if I can actually make this look good!

Midlands Pirate Festival

We attended the 1st annual Midlands Pirate Festival at the Bellevue Berry & Pumpkin Ranch this weekend. A good time was had by all!

While the festival was small it was held at a beautiful location; lots of trees. I hope it grows as it was really fun. My father and his lady friend joined us. My wee pirate man put his grandfather in the stocks, my wee lady pirate pet a snake for the first time (surprised us all) and I met Lady Ravin and her adorable son.

In two weeks we are all heading down to KCRF. I'm looking forward to the faire and, mostly, seeing my good friend Goodgirl.

It was so nice to finally meet you face to face also! Your kids are darling, and really look the part.... the family that Fests together...

I look forward to seeing you more at future events, and maybe we can plan to have a "meet up" time at one of them where we can actually chat for more than a fleeting second!
