I've finally started to work on something for myself! My next project is my new gypsy costume. The fabric is cut but I'm going to make the chimise first (that is once I decide what color to use). Thought I'd share some early pictures.

Goodgirl and Willow just left for home. We had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday we attended MFR. It's such a small faire but a nice way to spend a few hours with friends.

The pink and purple pirate made their first appearances. I think they really enjoyed themselves!

I busted my you-know-what from the time I got home today until now and it's finally done! The pink pirate is here and she is ready for faire this weekend.

It's about as far from perfect as it can be (more imperfections than perfections actually) but it is my first real ren ensamble. I learned a lot  and know many things I would do differently next time. Sarah loves it so I guess that means the most anyway!

So this is what I can get done when I don't go to work!!

It's finally starting to look like something instead of a bunch of pieces but there is still much to do and not a lot of time to do it. The grommets are next and they do not like me at all. I was hoping to have the entire ensamble done tomorrow night but I have a feeling I'll be sewing right up until the faire this weekend (sorry Christel - it should make for a fun Friday night).

I wanted to give a quick update. Now off to tackle the grommets.

Ok, I know I should be sewing instead of surfing the web but Aiddan sent me to a great site that sells all sorts of great replicated weaopnry. I've been looking at this one dagger for sometime and just decided to treat myself. It's a simple belt dagger but it fits me perfectly. I'm excited!
